Located next to the sea in beautiful natural surroundings, Son Servera Golf is the first spot associated with the name of the town by golfers. Dating back to 1967, this prestigious course is the second oldest in Mallorca. Originally a 9-hole course, it has been extended to 18 holes in 2012. Challenging and fun, and with generous fairways, it offers something to everyone. There is also a friendly club house with a renowned restaurant.

Just a short drive away, you’ll also find a world-class golf course of Costa de los Pinos and five-star golf Pula hotel and golf course.

For enjoying sun and sea, the popular and lively holiday resort of Cala Millor with its beautiful white sandy beach is located nearby. Here you’ll also find an excellent club for the practicing of sailing and other nautical activities.

Quieter beaches of Cala Bona and Costa de los Pinos are also a short drive away.

Hikers and cyclists will enjoy the route from Cala Millor to Costa de los Pinos. In addition, the cycling trail of Via Verda Manacor-Artà, a ”green way” that runs through the town following the old railway line.

This quiet town becomes very busy with residents and visitors alike on Friday mornings when the local market is held. It features many stalls offering local produce such as pomegranates, oranges and olives, and traditional Majorcan craftwork such as leather goods and pottery.

There is much to do in Son Servera throughout the year, and its traditional celebrations held on special dates are not to be missed. The main festivity of the patron saint of Sant Joan is held on June 24. It hosts a couple of weeks of assorted events with local fair, farmers market, games, concerts and traditional dance performances.

Another fiesta, Sant Antoni, is celebrated on the 17th of January. It features a tradition to light bonfires in the streets and then later to cook special Mallorcan sausage made from pork on the fire.

The town is the gateway to a number of interesting areas to explore in this region of Mallorca. For example, the charming town of Artà is an easy drive from Son Servera. This village is known for its basketwork and the lively Tuesday market, featuring the best local produce. The city of Manacor, the largest on the island, also is reached within a short drive.
